A little break from everyday life is what it is all about. It has been proven that travel and holidays can make you more productive at work and your home life.
We are very lucky here in the UAE that we have lots of incredible places we can visit for just a weekend break.
Muscat, Oman
At either a 4-hour drive or less than 2 hours on a plane, Muscat is a great destination to get away from the city for a couple of days! Hire a car and drive on over or hop on a quick flight. Flight prices are quite reasonable!
The city of Muscat is full of history for you to explore, or head out into the desert to cool off in the popular Biman sinkhole. The scenery of Oman is stunning, where ever you head out to.
Petra, Jordan
With a direct flight of approx. 3hours and 30 mins, Petra makes for a great weekend getaway from the UAE.
It is here you will find the famous UNESCO World Heritage site of the stunning caves, temples and tombs that are carved perfectly into the blushing pink sandstone rocks.
We recommend that you visit early in the day, or late into the afternoon and evening. The light at this time makes the areas even more spectacular, especially around sunset. Plus you will miss the middle of the day crowds.
There are a number of hotels in the area where you can stay for a night or more.
Al Ain, UAE
Ok, not technically away from the UAE, but it is far from the hustle and bustle of every day city life.
Al Ain is also called “The Garden City” with natural spring water pools, lush greenery and weather a little cooler than we are used to. Al Ain is in the southern part of the UAE on the border with Oman.
Tbilisi, Georgia
At just 3hours and 30mins flight time, Tbilisi is a popular place for a weekend get away from the UAE. The capital city of Georgia is one of the world’s oldest settlements, with evidence of humans living here right back to 4,000BC.
This city is ethnically diverse and architecturally eclectic resulting in lots of tasty food. The city is also known for its thermal baths which you can have a go in.
Baku, Azerbaijan
At just a 2hour 40-minute flight from Dubai, here in Baku you will have no end of things to do! Baku is the capital of Azerbaijan and is the lowest lying capital in the world at -28m below sea level!
The central city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as home to modern art museums, the historic palace of Shirvanshahs, the 12th century Maiden Tower and lots of restaurants and shops.
Travel heals the soul and clears the mind, so make sure you take time out of your busy schedules to go and explore.
